Email settings

This window allows the system administrator to configure the SMTP settings of your mail server in order to send and receive emails. SMTP settings are simply your Outgoing Mail Server settings.You need Gmail SMTP server settings if you want to send email from your Gmail account through Loan Performer.

Note:

The Gmail SMTP server settings are free and available online. The following are the Gmail SMTP server settings:
• Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: smtp.gmail.com.
• Use Authentication: Yes.
• Use Secure Connection: Yes (This can be TLS or SSL depending on your mail client)
• Username: Your Gmail account (email@gmail.com).


• Password: Your Gmail password.
• Gmail SMTP port (SSL): 465.

In order to avoid spam on your mail server, you have to use SMTP authentication. This means that you have to enter your complete email address as username and the corresponding password.

How to configure SMTP server settings in Loan Performer.

To configure your server settings, go to System/Configuration/Email settings, the following screen appears:

SMTP is an abbreviation meaning Simple Mail Transfer Protocol. This protocol enables software applications to transfer of emails over the Internet. Fundamentally, the protocol handles outgoing emails. In this case, Loan Performer connects to your mail server via SMTP to send the emails.

However, there are two other protocols POP3 or IMAP for receiving emails from your mail server.

In order to send account statements to your clients in the menu Savings/Savings Report/Savers Statements, ensure you have installed on your machine the drivers of Amyuni Document Converter which enable you to generate PDF files to send to the clients. These drivers are found the LPF installation directory (C:\LPF817\External Files\PDF Printing\LPF DOCUMENT CONVERTER Driver (450)).

Also note that the email addresses should have been entered at client registration under the menu Clients/Individual Clients/Address for individual clients.
